1916 Swedish Horn Snuff Box, Signed Pål Olsson, Vånga

This is a signed and dated Swedish snuff box crafted in 1916 by Pål Olsson, an early 20th‑century artisan working in Vånga, Skåne County. The box combines a smooth, translucent horn body with a hand‑engraved nickel‑silver lid, inscribed “D. Johanson 1916.”

The horn interior displays natural keratin striation and oxidation consistent with authentic period use. The hinge and rim are hand‑finished, reflecting small‑workshop Scandinavian production rather than factory manufacture. Condition is excellent for age, with no cracks, warping, or hinge failure.
