Silver and Gold Filled Engraved Swan Mourning Brooch

This exquisite Victorian antique brooch features a beautifully engraved silver swan and flower design, contrasted with luxurious gold filling and a rose gold round fan shape. On the back is an enclosed brass bubble designed to hold hair or a momento of a lost loved one. It is sealed shut so I’m unsure what if anything is in there. Being both beautiful and intriguing this brooch would make a great addition to any collection!

The back is finished with a C clasp and handmade round hinge. It also has a little loop that you could hang a locket from. 

The brass back is tarnished and there is age appropriate wear at the very edges of the brooch. This wear is minimal and overall I would say this brooch is in great antique condition.
