Antique Red Plush Velvet Sewing Box with Applied Squirrel and Bone Tools

This antique sewing box dates to the early 1900’s. It is made of wood and covered in plush red velvet. On top is the cutest squirrel in bronze tone metal. Inside there are a number of vintage to antique sewing tools including three carved bone tools, a scissors and a thimble that would have originally come with the box. The box is kept close with a secure snap lock. 

On the bottom is an original store tag. It is partially torn but you can still see that it came from WJ Bushman in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. 

The box measures 6” x 4.75” and is 2.5” tall. 

There is wear some wear and discoloration commensurate with age but overall this box is in great antique condition.
