Vintage Native American Blackware Pottery by Norman Red Star Wi-Cahpe-Luza

This is a beautiful piece of Native American Blackware pottery by Norman Red Star Wi-Cahpe-Liza, an award winning artist from the Sioux Nation.  He was born in 1955 and was inspired to continue the tradition of ceramics from his Uncle Elmer Red Star. The jar is decorated in sgraffito designs of geometric designs, buffalo, bear, tribal dancers, and feathers as well as pieces of coral and turquoise.  It would be the perfect addition to your Native American collection.
